Calling all artists to the PPEHRC tent at the US Social Forum in Detroit!

ShareThis
The US Social Forum will take place in Detroit from June 21 to June 26. Upwards of 40,000 people will attend, all of them intent on seeing a new world that's free of poverty and war. One of the main attractions at the Forum will be the huge tent headquarters of the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign. The tent will be the site of an ongoing cultural festival--music, poetry, and visual arts. If you would like to perform at the PPEHRC tent during the US Social Forum or display your visual art, contact Mic Crenshaw at crenshaw33@gmail.com.

AND you are also encouraged to stop by the tent and drop off your testimony about how, as an artist, you are struggling to survive in the richest country on earth. This testimony will be put up on the PPEHRC web site where it will be seen by countless people around the world.

AND you should know that PPERHC is leading a march from New Orleans to the US Social Forum in Detroit (April 4-June 21). You can see the route of the march at economichumanrights.org. If you can get to any of the stops along the way and would like to perform or display your art, contact Mic Crenshaw at crenshaw33@gmail.com. You can also drop off your testimony anywhere during the march.
